{"id":215,"date":"2018-06-24T14:15:39","date_gmt":"2018-06-24T14:15:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.yoga-liverpool.co.uk\/?p=215"},"modified":"2018-06-24T15:42:59","modified_gmt":"2018-06-24T15:42:59","slug":"the-importance-of-neutral-spine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yoga-liverpool.co.uk\/?p=215","title":{"rendered":"The Importance of Neutral Spine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As a Pilates and Yoga teacher, the alignment and use of the spine is central to my teaching.\u00a0 Also a personal trainer the use of the spine is important in helping clients work the correct muscles and avoid injury.\u00a0 Neutral Spine is the alignment of choice for\u00a0a healthy\u00a0spine.<\/p>\n<p>A quick definition of neutral spine would be &#8211;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>&#8220;Maintenance of the 4 natural curves in the vertebral column&#8221;.\u00a0<\/strong> <\/em><\/p>\n<p>When correctly aligned, the spine can be safely loaded and pain free movement facilitated.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Finding Neutral<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor.
